Champions League Round of 16 Probabilities

Here are the advancement probabilities per 538. Probabilities have now been updated post-draw to reflect match-ups.

It’s worth noting that 538’s inexplicable love affair with Man City remains. Despite being 14 points behind Liverpool domestically–and despite the current iteration of  City’s squad bottling in the quarters two years in a row–the FOURMIDABLES are viewed as heavy probability favorites. However, City’s probability has dropped from 26% to 23% after the draw.

Bayern Munich have historically been viewed favorably by 538 as well. They’re given a 20% probability to win the UCL this season.
