2020-21 FA Cup 4th Round Betting Lines And Futures

Posted By Alex Blowers on January 20, 2021

The FA Cup returns this weekend for the 4th Round/Last 32.

A lot of people criticize the big clubs for not taking the FA Cup seriously. If you look at the last 30 winners, 27 of them have been by the Big 5; Arsenal (10), Chelsea (7), Liverpool (3), Manchester City (2) & Manchester United (5). The other 3 clubs to win it are Everton 1996, Portsmouth 2008 & Wigan 2012.

Here are the futures for the 11 sides I think have a realistic chance of winning the FA Cup:

  • Manchester City +225
  • Chelsea +600
  • Tottenham +700
  • Liverpool +900
  • Manchester United +1200
  • Everton +1400
  • Leicester City +1400
  • Arsenal +1800
  • Wolves +1800
  • Southampton +2000
  • West Ham +2500

Due to COVID, the 5th Round was drawn at the same time as the 4th.

Manchester United/Liverpool vs Doncaster/West Ham United
Everton/Sheffield Wednesday vs Wycombe Wanderers/Tottenham
Swansea City/Nottingham Forest vs Cheltenham Town/Manchester City
Barnsley/Norwich City vs Chelsea/Luton Town
Chorley/Wolves vs Southampton/Arsenal
Brentford/Leicester City vs Brighton & Hove Albion/Blackpool
Fulham/Burnley vs Bournemouth/Crawley Town
Sheffield United/Plymouth Argyle vs Millwall/Bristol City

The Big 5 are still in the competition & it’s hard to look beyond one of them lifting the trophy on May 15th. We know for sure at least one of these clubs will be knocked out by the end of the weekend with Liverpool & Manchester United facing each other this round. If you believe in fate, it might be worth backing Jurgen Klopp’s side this year at +900.

Manchester City +225, Chelsea +600 & Leicester +1400 have the easiest path to the Quarterfinals & are worth backing as potential winners. No other club has won this competition more than Arsenal (14), who are great value at +1800. Everton +1400 & Southampton +2000 can reach the final if they are blessed with some favorable matchups.

Chorley FC has a dream fixture against Premier League Wolves. The sixth tier side beat Derby County 2-0 in the 3rd Round thanks to Groundsman Ben Kay. He slept on the Victory Park pitch ahead of that game & is working overtime again ahead of the visit of Nuno Espírito Santo’s side on Friday night.

League 2 promotion chasers Cheltenham welcome Manchester City to their 7003 capacity stadium Whaddon Road. Pep Guardiola fielded a strong team against Birmingham in the previous round & will do the same here. Michael Duff & his players have nothing to lose & will remember this game for the rest of their lives.

Liverpool travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in a repeat of last week’s big clash from the Premier League. That game ended in a 0-0 stalemate, but I think we’ll have goals in this edition. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is desperate to win his first piece of Silverware & will go with a strong starting eleven. Jurgen Klopp is yet to win England’s premier cup competition & would love to add it to his collection.

There are a total of 16 fixtures taking place this weekend & below is a selection of games.

Here are the FA Cup 4th Round Betting Lines.

  • With teams from all levels of the Football Pyramid, there is an opportunity for a big win if you back the right upset. Teams are fatigued & the Underdog sides will go all out to cause an upset.
  • Bristol City is 9th in the Championship & good value at +265. Dean Holden’s side has won 3 of their last 4 games. Millwall is down in 16th & has won only once in their last 4 games.
  • I do like Liverpool to progress at +160. Their front 3 are still one of the best around & it’s only a matter of time before they start scoring again.
  • Manchester City is on a terrific run right now & -2.5 Goals is great value at -109. If you are feeling a little bit braver, -3.5 Goals is +215.
  • West Ham, Sheffield United & Brighton Money Line Parlay is appealing at +151.
  • Wolves, West Ham, Manchester City & Chelsea Money Line Parlay, comes out at -113.
