When the halftime whistle went on Saturday at the Allianz Arena there was a brief moment we all thought Greuther Fürth were going to pull off a miracle. The side propping up the Bundesliga table were 1-0 up against the mighty Bayern Munich who were coming into this game off a disappointing 4-2 defeat to VfL Bochum and 1-1 draw with Red Bull Salzburg.
It took 29 seconds from the restart for Bayern to level the scores and they went on to record a comfortable 4-1 victory to maintain their six-point lead at the top. Robert Lewandowski scored a brace taking his total to 28 for the season and leaving him with 11 games to break his record of 41.

BUNDESLIGA 2021/22 SEASON GUIDES
BUNDESLIGA MATCHDAY 23 ROUNDUP
ONE OF THE WORSE SOCCER CRIMES I’VE EVER SEEN WAS COMMITTED ON SUNDAY
Marco Reus was sensational in Borussia Dortmund‘s 6-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach contributing two goals and three assists. In injury time BVB won a penalty and Emre Can stepped up, robbing Reus of the opportunity to finish the game with a hat-trick and three assists 🤯.
GIO REYNA NOT SERIOUSLY INJURED
Gio Reyna made his first start for Dortmund since August and left the pitch 30 minutes later in tears. There were fears he had suffered another serious thigh injury but tests on Monday revealed it was a minor one and he could be back in training within two weeks.
This will be good news for USMNT‘s fans who will be praying he’s available for the final round of CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers at the end of March. Especially now Weston McKennie is expected to be sidelined for at least two months after he fractured his left foot in Juventus‘ 1-1 draw with Villarreal in the UEFA Champions League.

BUNDESLIGA BETTING ANALYSIS AND TIPS
- I’ll take RB Leipzig -1.5 Goals on the Spread at +185 for the second week in a row. They cashed at +165 last week after a comfortable 6-1 win against Hertha Berlin and I think they can do the same away at VfL Bochum on Sunday.
- I really like FC Köln’s Moneyline at +100. Their opponent Greuther Fürth have improved in recent games picking up 9 of their 13 points in their last seven matches. The Billy Goats have aspirations of qualifying for Europe and will see this game as a perfect opportunity to collect three points.
- There could be some value backing FC Augsburg to Win or Draw in the Double Chance market at +155. Borussia Dortmund travels to Ibrox on Thursday to face Rangers and have a 4-2 scoreline to turn around in the UEFA Europa League. Realistically, this is the only competition BVB can win this season. Augsburg could take advantage of their fatigued opponents and get something from the game.
- Both Teams To Score YES and Over 2.5 Goals at +100 is excellent value for Borussia Mönchengladbach vs. VfL Wolfsburg. Gladbach have scored in eight of their last nine fixtures and Die Wolfe have scored seven in three games since Max Kruse recovered to the club.
