Bundesliga Betting: RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich Match Preview

Out: Marcelo Saracchi (Knee)
Doubtful: Marcel Halstenberg (Ankle), Benjamin Henrichs (Knee)
Suspended: None
Coach: Jesse Marsch

The only change Jesse Marsch is expected to make to the side that lost to VfL Wolfsburg 1-0 in Matchday 03 is first-choice left-back Angeliño coming in for Joško Gvardiol. The Spaniard hasn’t featured since the opening day of the season after he picked up a muscle injury and has been greatly missed down Leipzig’s left-hand side.

A lot is expected from summer signing André Silva, with many seeing him as the goalscorer this side desperately craved last season. He has a solid start to the campaign contributing one goal and one assist in the opening three games. With Dani Olmo back in the side alongside Christopher Nkunku and Dominik Szoboszlai, Silva now has three quality creative players behind him, and I’m positive the goals will start to flow.

Leipzig were able to take advantage of Barcelona‘s financial troubles and sign 18-year-old Ilaix Moriba for a $19.2 million fee. If he is to make his debut on Saturday, it will be from the bench.

USMNT star Tyler Adams will be glad to start in central midfield after Gregg Berhalter switched him to right wingback for their CONCACAF World Cup Qualifier against Honduras. If you haven’t already, check out Harrison Hamm’s breakdown of how the USMNT turned that game around to win 3-1.

Out: Kingsley Coman (Calf)
Doubtful: Alphonso Davies (Knee), Corentin Tolisso (Calf), Benjamin Pavard (Ankle)
Suspended: None
Coach: Julian Nagelsmann

First-choice full-backs Alphonso Davies and Benjamin Pavard are doubts for this game. Lucas Hernández and Josip Stanišić will deputize in their place. Kingsley Coman has also been ruled out with a hamstring injury, and I think Julian Nagelsmann will pick wunderkid Jamal Musiala in his place ahead of Leroy Sané.

New signing Marcel Sabitzer declared, “It was always a dream to come to Bayern” at a press conference on Thursday. The former Leipzig player joins Dayot Upamecano and Nagelsmann in making the switch to the Allianz Arena. This will be the first time they have returned to the Red Bull Arena, and it will be interesting to see what reception their former fans give them.

Corentin Tolisso is a doubt for this game and will probably spend most of this season on the bench after failing to find himself a new club this summer. The French international has a year left on his deal, and his poor injury record means Bayern will let him leave for free next summer rather than offer him a new deal.

I will take this Bayern Munich side on the Moneyline at +100 or more any day of the week against anyone. Die Roten have one of the best starting eleven’s in Europe, and their experience should be enough to beat this young Leipzig side.
