Matchday 04 was uncharacteristically a low scoring round of games with an average of 2.11 goals per fixture. Eight of the nine games had two goals or less with Bayern Munich’s 4-1 win over Armenia Bielefeld the only match to break the 3 goal average we’ve seen in recent seasons.
As COVID-19 cases drop in Germany we are seeing some home fans in the stadium. It wasn’t the happiest of experiences for them as no home teams won with 4 draws & 5 away wins. I don’t think this is a trend as the big 3 played away — in the first 3 Matchday’s we saw 12 home wins (44.44%) across the 27 fixtures.
This is probably due to the players being hungover/fatigued from the pointless international break. We have another pointless one coming up in mid November so keep this in mind when you’re making your Bundesliga Matchday 08 betting choices.
RB Leipzig remain top of the Bundesliga with a dominant display over FC Augsburg. Dani Olmo provided both assists in the 2-0 win & Yussef Poulsen made an instant impact off the bench. Seconds after entering the game the Danish international submitted his contender for goal of the season with this spectacular volley!!!

BUNDESLIGA MATCHDAY 05 BETTING TIPS
- I’m instantly drawn to Hoffenheim at +140. They have done well to frustrate Borussia Dortmund. The game only swung into BVB’s favor when Lucien Favre brought Haaland off the bench. If Sebastian Hoenaß had star striker Andej Kramarić available it could have been his side taking all 3 points.
- VFB Stuttgart have ridden their luck but look solid at +115 to beat FC Köln.
- A Bayern, Dortmund & Leverkusen Money Line Parlay is tempting at +147 with all 3 at home.
