Bundesliga: How To Stream In The US

July 18, 2021

The Bundesliga is at the top level of the German football league system. The league features 18 clubs with sides playing each other twice (17 at home and 17 away) from August to May for a total of 306 games. Due to the reduced schedule, the league takes a winter break from mid-December to early January.

Teams are awarded 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and none for a defeat. The team with the most points at the end of the season are awarded the Bundesliga title.

The two teams who finish with the least amount of points are relegated to the 2.Bundesliga and replaced by the two sides that finish first and second in that league. The team that finishes 16th in the Bundesliga faces the 3rd placed team from the 2.Bundesliga in a two-legged playoff. The winner plays in the Bundesliga, and the loser plays in the 2.Bundesliga.
