Bundesliga Match Day 31 Betting Tips: Fight For Survival

Posted By Alex Blowers on June 10, 2020

With 4 games left time is running out for the teams at the foot of the table. This MD we have 3 defining fixtures in the fight for survival, as six of the teams from the bottom seven meet.

For a full list of odds for every game check out our Bundesliga Betting: Match Day 31 Betting Lines.

Christian Strohdiek probably hasn’t ever been in many people’s thoughts. That all changed Saturday when he scored Paderborn’s 92nd minute equalizer against RB Leipzig, busting parlays & bets around the world. Destined for relegation, that moment will be one of SCP’s highlights of the season.

Werder Bremen are running out of games & desperately need something out of this match with Bayern up next. Since the restart Florian Kohfeldt has put his faith in American Josh Sargent to lead the line. He’s asking a lot of the 20 year old who last had a shot on target in October & has found the net just three times this season in the Bundesliga.

Paderborn & Werder have scored the lowest amount of goals this season. They have both had four games under 2.5 goals & scored just three since the restart.

Prediction – Under 2.5 Goals +115

These two picked up vital points in MD30 & three more will probably be enough to secure their Bundesliga status. In this matchup I don’t see either team going all out to win as neither can afford to lose. I see this being a tight game that could go either way & will finish 1-0 or 1-1.

Mainz & Augsburg have similar records since the restart. Both sit on 5 points (1W, 2D & 2L) & have scored 5 goals. If you look at each team’s last 3 games, they’ve all been under 2.5 goals.

Prediction – Under 2.5 Goals +100

Bayern look unstoppable at the moment. A lot of that is down to Hansi Flick’s excellent man-management skills & how he transitioned Die Roten to his tactical philosophy in such a short period of time. He’s easily my choice for Manager of the Season.

If Gladbach are going to get anything from this game they’re going to have to conjure up their best performance of the season or get extremely lucky. I don’t see that happening especially with star striker Alassane Pléa suspended.

Dortmund came through a difficult test against Hertha Berlin collecting all 3 points. Prior to kick off there were questions about how BVB’s defense would perform with Mats Hummels suspended. Emre Can slotted in with ease, scoring the only goal of the game & putting a man of the match performance in. At $25 million he’s proving to be a fantastic piece of business.

On the face of it, Fortuna look in good form, collecting 6 points (1W, 3D & 1L) since the restart. That loss was a 5-0 drubbing from Bayern & I fully expect Dortmund to deliver a similar score line.

It looks like Bayer Leverkusen have another Wunderkid in Florian Wirtz. At 17 years and 34 days old he became the youngest goal scorer in Bundesliga history. The fact he got the record against Manual Neuer makes it so much sweeter.

They face a terrible Schalke side devoid of any attacking threat or confidence at the moment. Since the restart Leverkusen has fared much better away from home winning all 3 games. Even with Kai Havertz doubtful they look certain to continue this form.

Bayern Munich ML VS Borussia Mochengladbach
Fortuna Dusseldorf VS Borussia Dortmund ML
Schalke VS Bayer Leverkusen ML
