Bundesliga Match Week 29 Betting Tips: What’s Left To Play For?

Posted By Alex Blowers on May 28, 2020

Bayern Munich came out on top in Der Klassiker with Joshua Kimmich scoring a contender for goal of the season. His sublime chip caught Roman Burki and the world by surprise. Seven points clear Die Roten have all but the won the league.

What else is there to play for?

The race for 4th between Borussia Mochengladbach & Bayer Leverkusen is going to the wire. Both are locked on 53 points (16 wins, 5 draws & 7 losses) with 53 goals scored. Gladbach have conceded 2 less goals giving them the slightest of edges.

It looks like the Europa League will welcome back Wolfsburg next season, who have climbed to 6th and opened up a 3-point cushion. Hoffenheim, Freiburg & Hertha Berlin look strongest for 7th, which could be a route into the Europe dependent on how the DFB Pokal plays out.

Fortuna’s unbeaten restart has got Mainz, Frankfurt, Union Berlin & Augsburg looking over their shoulders. Four points separate these five as we enter the final 6 Match Weeks of the season.

Die Wölfe provided the shock of MW27, romping to a 4-1 win over Leverkusen. Set-piece specialist Maximilian Arnold scored & provided both assists for Marin Pongračić’s brace in a memorable night at the BayArena.

Frankfurt have the worse away record this season, collecting just 7 points. They have leaked 11 goals since the restart, more than any other team. This will be their 3rd of 5 fixtures across 14 days. With easier opponents Werder Bremen & Mainz coming up next, I think they’ll focus their energy into those opponents.

Prediction – Wolfsburg on the Money Line -109

Bremen are on the resurgence collecting 4 points in their last 2 games & with an extra fixture, will hope they can climb out of trouble. They’ve made themselves difficult to beat & have really toughened up defensively over the last 2 games keeping clean sheets against Freiburg & Gladbach (To the frustration of bettors around the world).

Schalke have been abysmal since the restart losing all 3 games, conceding 9, scoring once & are the only side who have failed to pick a point up. They’ve slipped down to 9th & with European football getting further & further away the pressure is mounting on David Wagner.

Both sides are severely lacking a natural finisher with Bremen scoring just 9 at home, Schalke 15 goals away & 3 between them since the restart.

Prediction – Under 2.5 goals +100

I’m not one to recommend Parlay’s but these should be straight up victories for the three strongest teams in Germany. Bayern are looking ruthless & will raise their game to the required level for the 3 points. Dortmund & Leipzig still have work to do to qualify for next seasons Champions League & have away advantage.

Bayern Munich ML VS Fortuna Düsseldorf
SC Paderborn VS Borussia Dortmund ML
FC Köln VS RB Leipzig ML
