How great was it to have soccer on TV again?
The Bundesliga returned, setting the template for all other leagues to follow. Looking at empty arenas took some getting used to, but otherwise it’s like nothing changed. Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund continued to roll. ERLING BRAUT HAALAND continued to score. RB Leipzig continued to stumble.
This week’s biggest match is Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayer Leverkusen. If Leverkusen can grab a point or 3 on the road, they’ll greatly enhance their odds to make the Champions League.

Odds & Ends
- While Gladbach vs Leverkusen is the highlight, Wolfsburg vs BVB is almost as important. A road win by BVB is critical if they want to keep their slim title hopes alive. BVB look in form still, expect them to come through.
- What’s up with RB Leipzig? Expect a scrappy match against a Mainz team that is fighting to stay safely above relegation. Don’t be surprised to see a draw.
- Fitness and injuries will be an issue during this sprint to the finish. Leverkusen having fewer recovery days than Gladbach — and having to travel — isn’t a recipe to steal some road points.
