Bundesliga Matchday 33 Betting Tips: RB Leipzig vs VfL Wolfsburg

Posted By Alex Blowers on May 14, 2021

Me and Bayern Munich were both Champions in Matchday 32. All five of my bets hit for a clean sweep earning me 9.581 Units of profit.

Jadon Sancho stepped up in Erling Haaland’s absence. The England international scored a brace to earn Borussia Dortmund 3 precious points against RB Leipzig. That result meant Bayern were declared Bundesliga champions as they were preparing for their game against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

They celebrated by romping to a 6-0 victory and Robert Lewandowski scored a hattrick to take his goal tally to 39 for the season. He is 1 goal behind Gerd Müller’s 40 goal record and has two games left to match or beat it.

RB LEIPZIG VS VFL WOLFSBURG BETTING TIPS

Oliver Glasner’s side are one win away from qualifying for the Champions League. They have a 3 point and +10 goal difference advantage over Eintracht Frankfurt, who will need to produce something special in their final two games to overturn it. Adi Hütter’s side faces FC Schalke 04 this week, so I wouldn’t completely count them out.

VfL Wolfsburg’s opponents this weekend are Leipzig, who were just humbled 4-1 by Dortmund in the DFB-Pokal Final. The whole club will be devastated with their performance and have very little to play for after already confirming their place in the Top 4. I think the players will find it very difficult to pick themselves up for this game

There was drama off the pitch in the build-up to the final. Julian Nagelsmann made the decision to exclude Angeliño due to ‘sporting reasons,’ and I highly doubt we will see the Spanish wingback again this season. Its possible cracks are starting to appear in the dressing room with Nagelsmann departing for Bayern this summer.

Back Wolfsburg to get the 3 points they need to secure a Top 4 finish.

Prediction – 1 Unit: VfL Wolfsburg Money Line +225

FC SCHALKE 04 VS EINTRACHT FRANKFURT BETTING TIPS

As I mentioned above, Frankfurt needs to win their final two games and overturn a 10 goal deficit to improve their chances of qualifying for the Champions League. This Matchday, they have the perfect opponent in Schalke to boost their goal difference.

I’m confident they will record an emphatic victory over the Bundesliga’s worse side to ramp up the pressure on Dortmund and Wolfsburg, who both play on Sunday. I have a feeling Daichi Kamada will get a goal in this game to add to the five he has scored already this season.

Put your money behind Frankfurt, winning by a big margin.

Prediction – 3 Units: Eintracht Frankfurt -1.5 Goals -175 | 2 Units: Eintracht Frankfurt -2.5 Goals +143 | 1 Unit: Eintracht Frankfurt -3.5 Goals +330 | 1 Unit: Daichi Kamada to Score Anytime YES +133

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI TO BREAK GERD MÜLLER’S 40 GOAL RECORD

There’s no doubt in my mind that Robert Lewandowski will surpass Gerd Müller’s 40 goal record, and I’m confident he will do it against SC Freiburg this Saturday. Christian Streich’s side still have a chance of finishing 7th and qualifying for UEFA’s newest competition, the Europa Conference League. They need to win both of their last two games to give themselves a realistic chance of moving above Gladbach and FC Union Berlin.

The Meisterschale is won but we saw against Gladbach that this Bayern side is always motivated to win. The foundation of their dominance under Hansi Flick has been their team spirit and togetherness. The whole team will be doing everything they can to help Lewandowski score and confirm his status as a footballing god.

Prediction – 2 Units: Robert Lewandowski to Score at least 2 Goals +163
