Bundesliga Matchday 34 Betting Tips: Saisonende

Who would have thought this was possible 3 months ago?

The plaudits have to go to the German authorities & DFB who have shown the world how team sports can safely navigate a pandemic.

It’s the last round of Bundesliga games for the season & below are my picks. I warned last week you can get some wild results on the last day of the season so be careful on who you back.

For a full list of odds for every game check out our Bundesliga Betting: Matchday 34 Betting Lines.

Leverkusen’s 2-0 loss to Hertha Berlin has taken their Champions League fate out of their own hands. Again, they dominated the ball, recording 69% possession but failed to do anything meaningful in the oppositions 18 yard box. Kevin Volland’s ankle ligament injury back in February has really cost them this year & it looks likely they will be playing Thursday nights in the Europa League next season without Kai Havertz.

Mainz came out on top in MD33’s relegation 6 pointer beating Werder Bremen 3-1 & now they can relax with another season of Bundesliga soccer confirmed. Last week I predicted Union Berlin would down tools after securing safety & they lost 4-0 to Hoffenheim. We’ll see exactly the same here with Mainz taking it easy now the pressure’s off.

To qualify for the Champions League Leverkusen have to win & hope that Hertha can beat Borussia Mochengladbach. I think Peter Bosz side will do their part & run out comfortable winners here.

Prediction – Bayer Leverkusen -1.5 Goals -141

Fortuna enter the last day of the season with their fate in their own hands. A win here will guarantee them 16th & one last of chance of survival in the Relegation / Promotion Playoff against FC Heidenheim or Hamburg. Uwe Rösler has done a great job since taking charge in January & if he keeps them up it will be one of his biggest achievements.

One of the favorites to get relegated Urs Fischer has done an amazing job to keep Union Berlin up. I predicted last week that they would relax & it was truly feet up, slippers on as they lost to Hoffenheim. I think we’ll see the same here as they enjoy the Saisonende.

Prediction – Fortuna on the Moneyline -109

Bayern are playing their best football since the days of Pep Guardiola with 9 wins out of 9, 25 scored & 7 conceded since the restart. With the title wrapped up they still showed their hunger against Freiburg winning 3-1 & they’re the bookies favorites for the Champions League Tournament in Lisbon starting August 12th.

Wolfsburg have secured qualification for the Europa League & a win here will guarantee 6th so they don’t have to go through the early season qualifiers. With every competition out of sync due to the COVID-19 pandemic & no start date scheduled this will be less of a worry for next season. The way Bayern are playing it will take their biggest performance to get a win here & I don’t see it happening especially with very little to play for.

The DFB Pokal Final is next weekend & every Bayern player who starts this game will want to show Hansi Flick they deserve to be in the starting eleven.

Prediction – Bayern on the Money Line -132
