Carabao Cup Round of 16 Odds: WTF These Are Some Good Matches!

The Carabao Cup gets dumped on frequently (including by us) as a meaningless trophy that only insecure clubs with no real history (Manchester cough City cough) really care about.

While that is mostly true, that doesn’t mean there can’t be some compelling games and memorable moments.

That seems especially true with this season’s Round of 16. So much so, it deserves its own post.

Lets look at Carabao Cup Round of 16 odds.

Odds & Ends

  • Spurs are lol and Chelsea are the more talented side. However, something isn’t clicking with the Blues right now. Jose Mourinho certainly feels the pressure to back up his “winner” reputation. Spurs as a home dog is a good value wager.
  • Brighton might be pretty good this season. Man U look wobbly. While the Red Devils should win this match, Brighton at +325 is absolutely worth a flier.
  • Brentford vs Fulham is a repeat of the Championship promotion playoff. Brentford was the better team then but failed to come up. Look for them to exact some revenge on the Cottagers.
  • Liverpool faces Arsenal for the second time in four days. Klopp will surely run out the youngsters again. But look for a very capable side that features Diogo Jota, Takumi Minamino, and Xherdan Shaqiri. Monitor who Mikel Arteta puts on his starting XI before kick-off. If it’s not his full strength squad, you can’t go wrong with the Reds at even-money at Anfield.
