Odds & Ends
Some of these matches are really hard to peg. Who has something to play for / positioning? Even a squad like Liverpool likely rolling out it’s B-squad–there is still more talent there than Midjytlland, right? Some thoughts:
- Stay the eff away from Barcelona vs Juventus. Who knows with those two squads.
- Oddsmakers are signaling they expect Ajax or Atalanta to win (no draw). Atalanta have had 8 days off. But their last two results have been poor (a draw vs Midjytlland and a loss to Verona). So… expect a rebound here from the Italians. +188 is a good price too.
- The big matches are in Group B. It’s all about value there. Should Monchengladbach really be +410 against a wobbly RM? Too good of a price there.
- Same goes for Shakhtar Donetsk at +900 (or draw at +510). What has Inter done that gives you confidence they’ll come through in a big match? Especially with Shakhtar at those prices.
