Poor refereeing cost me as PSG received a questionable penalty & rode their luck to a 1-0 victory over RB Leipzig. Bayern Munich & Borussia Dortmund both won comfortably by more than 1.5 goals & Borussia Mönchengladbach vs Shakhtar Donetsk finished over 3.5 goals.

Even with 10 men Bayern made this look easy. Robert Lewandowski & Kingsley Coman put Die Roten 2-0 up before Marc Roca received his second yellow on the 66th minute. Leroy Sané made it 3-0 two minutes later to put the game beyond doubt & FCB qualify for the knock out stages.

Bayern have won the group with two games to spare & I think it’s time to see the record breaking fifteen game winning streak come to an end. Hansi Flick will give his key players some much needed & we’ll see the likes of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Jamal Musiala, Tanguy Nianzou, Chris Richards start the game. Atlético Madrid need to win & Diego Simeone will be fielding his strongest eleven with João Félix my pick for man of the match.

UP NEXT: LAZIO AT HOME
If Dortmund beat Lazio they win the group & get revenge for 3-1 loss on Matchday 01. BVB’s loss to FC Köln at the weekend will give them some extra motivation. With home advantage I see Lucian Favre’s side taking all three points against a Lazio side that has shown improvements in recent weeks with one loss in their last nine.

RB Leipzig dominated possession at the Parc des Princes & were extremely unlucky to lose 1-0. Danny Desmond Makkelie put in a very weak & poor refereeing performance that cost Julian Nagelsmann’s side. Ángel Di Maria went down with the minimal amount of contact & the referee bought it with interest. In the dying minutes he bottled sending off Marco Verratti. The Italian international had only just been subbed on when he landed a horrendous challenge on Christopher Nkunku.

UP NEXT: BASAKSEHIR AWAY
Baseksehir have been poor throughout the competition & they only beat Manchester United because of some awful defending from the Red Devils. RB Leipzig already beat them in Matchday 01 & the Turkish stadiums are a lot less daunting to play in with the fans absent. Three points here will give Die Roten Bullen an excellent opportunity to qualify for the knockout stages & that’s what they’ll get by 2 or 3 goals.

Gladbach have put themselves into a fantastic position to qualify for the knockout stages. A 4-0 home win over Shakhtar Donetsk puts Marco Rose’s side at the top of Group B. It’s always great to see a bicycle kick goal but the GK Andriy Pyatov has to do more.
