EURO 2020 Group C Preview: Austria, Netherlands, North Macedonia and Ukraine

Written By Uttiyo Sarkar on June 5, 2021

Probably the ‘weakest’ group of all in the Euro 2020, Group C doesn’t really promise to live up to the entertainment standards of some of the others. But then again, this group also has teams who have gotten to this stage thanks to their street-fighting nature.

Because of that, a set of upsets could be on the cards – making things unpredictable in this one. One-time winners Netherlands are predictably favorites to win all their games – but Austria, Ukraine, or small-time North Macedonia won’t make things easy. With many talented players from Europe’s top teams scattered around these teams, it’d be foolish to sleep on this group.

Euro 2020 Austria Preview

Despite being underdogs in nearly every competition they play in, Austria actually have a chance of making it past the group stages in the Euros for the first time ever this year. Possessing some talented stars from the Bundesliga & led by new Real Madrid signing David Alaba – they’ll hope to power over their opponents & produce some memorable stuff.
