Canada vs USMNT Odds
UPDATE: The US is favored in this match, but not as much as you’d expect. In fact, as the game gets closer, more money is coming in on Canada. The US moved from -120 to basically even money at -103. Canada’s odds got shorter from +335 to +270.
|Canada +270||Draw +245||USMNT -103|
The odds are surprising given that Canada is ranked 75th in the world by FIFA and the US is 21st. The US barely better than even-money shows that oddsmakers aren’t believers in Berhalter yet.

What to expect?
This one is harder to say.
If you want to look at comparable results, Canada beat Cuba 1-0 (behind an early Alphonso Davies goal) on September 10th. However, they smashed Cuba 6-0 three days earlier on September 7th and 7-0 back in June.
Canada also put up a respectable 3-1 loss to Mexico in June.
They’re a team on the rise. They’ll be at home. They’ll give the US all they’ve got.
The US unquestionably have more talent. Coaching and tactics are the issue.
Expect a narrow US win or possibly an unlucky draw from this match. That’s certainly in line with what oddsmakers are thinking.
