OFFICIAL: Lionel Messi to PSG on Two-Year Contract

Written By High Press 10 on August 8, 2021

Soon after saying a very tearful goodbye to Barcelona, it’s come out that Lionel Messi is officially joining PSG.

The deal is for a reported two years.

PSG = best summer transfer period ever?

For all of the talent PSG has, there’s that little bit of extra toughness they’ve lacked over the years. That “championship mettle” if you will. That issue has been solved x10 over the summer.

And almost done entirely on the free.

Messi will join Georginio Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos and Gianluigi Donnarumma as difference-maker free transfers. They’ll join Achraf Hakimi as new faces with heavy expectations this season.

Greatest frontline ever?

Pairing Messi with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe almost isn’t fair. Those are arguably the three best players on the planet right now and inarguably three of the most talented.

Even if you’re not a PSG supporter, this will be fun to watch.

PSG Champions League title odds

PSG is now second favorite to win the Champions League at +340. Manchester City are favorites at +300.
