Premier League Matchday 10 Betting Tips

Posted By Alex Blowers on November 27, 2020

It was 1 win & 2 losses but Matchday 09 was still a profitable weekend (Does $0.40 buy you anything today?).

I wrote last week that the Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur Betting Lines were way off & I cashed as Jose Mourinho got another victory over Guardiola. Pep is jokingly referred to as the “Bald Fraud” & signed a new 2 year deal last week. Genuine doubts are starting to emerge on whether he can rebuild this Manchester City side & get them back to 2017-19 performance levels.

COVID-19 ended Conor Coady’s 121 stretch of starts. The England international had played every minute of Wolves 84 Premier League games up until this point & his absence caused Nuno Espirito Santo to do the unthinkable. He switched his defense to a back four for the first time in the Premier League & Southampton held them to a 1-1 draw.

All the recent talk about Liverpool has centered on their injury problems & the impact it would have on their title defense. Jurgen Klopp has a great squad at his disposal & he fielded a decent starting eleven against Leicester. They produced a vintage performance to remind everyone they’re still in this title race & Brendan Rodgers side is a long way off from challenging.

West Brom frustrated Tottenham & Manchester United in their last two games but Slaven Bilić set them up very defensively with a five man back line. They deserved something at Old Trafford last weekend & were unlucky to lose 1-0. They had a penalty claim waved away, conceded one minutes later & Sam Johnstone saved Bruno Fernandes’s first attempt. The penalty was retaken for encroachment by Johnstone & Fernandes scored at the second time of asking.

Sheffield United have been extremely disappointing with eight losses & one draw. They paid big money for Rhian Brewster but he has failed to find the back of the net & goal scoring has become a real issue for them with just 4 goals scored all season. This Blades side has a lot more potential & West Brom are the perfect opponents to start turning things around. Chris Wilder will guide them to a win here & move them off the bottom of the Premier League.

Prediction – 2 Units: Sheffield United Money Line +190

Manchester United’s performances have been very Jekyll & Hyde this season. They’ve pulled off great victories against PSG, RB Leipzig & Everton but lost to Crystal Palace, Basaksehir & Arsenal. Let’s not forget the embarrassing 6-1 home defeat to Tottenham that will live deep in the memory for years to come.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer doesn’t seem to able to get the best out of his side against weaker opposition with West Brom a classic example. His side were so flat, displayed a complete lack of intensity & were fortunate to get the 1-0 win. They face PSG on Wednesday in a game they can’t afford to lose & I feel they’ll have one eye on that fixture.

Southampton are sitting in 5th & have adjusted well to Danny Ings’s injury with a win & a draw. Theo Walcott is partnering Che Adams & they have combined well with a goal & assist for each. Ralph Hassenhüttl has consistently gotten the best out of his side & is rightly being linked to some of the top clubs in English football. I like The Saints to get something out of this game.

Prediction – 2 Units: Southampton or the Draw -115

I think Fulham have the worse squad in the Premier League & the pressure is mounting on Scott Parker. The loan signings of Ruben Loftus-Cheek & Ademola Lookman is great business but they really lack quality in their defensive ranks, with 18 goals conceded so far this season. The search for a penalty taker continues after Ivan Cavaleiro produced one of the worst attempts I’ve ever seen in there 3-2 loss against Everton.

Leicester bounced back from last weeks poor showing against Liverpool with a 3-3 draw away to Sporting Braga in the Europa League. Braga thought they had snatched victory in the 90th minute but Jamie Vardy equalized in the fifth minute of added time. Fortunately this game is scheduled for Monday evening & Brendan Rogers will be pleased to have the extra day of rest. This will be a comfortable home win for The Foxes by 2 or 3 goals.

Prediction – 2 Units: Leicester -1.5 Goals +148
