Posted By High Press 10 on January 9, 2020

Deep breath. Festive period is over. Schedule sanity is sorta kinda coming. Transfers loom. Liverpool embark on their final march towards the Premier League title. Manchester City look to etch their name on another Carabao Cup.

Speaking of Liverpool, the Reds travel to Wembley on Saturday to face a Tottenham side missing Harry Kane. Can Jose Mourinho get Spurs’ defense fixed to grab points of the league leaders?

Let’s take a look at Premier League matchday 22 lines.

Odds & Ends

  • The weekend starts with a Friday match between Sheffield and West Ham. The new manager bounce for West Ham was real last week. Sheffield is coming off a brutal back-to-back against City and Liverpool. Don’t be surprised if West Ham pull a point or three in this one.
  • Leicester have had an inconsistent run of form lately (they’re only 10th best over the last 5 matches). Southampton have been strong, with the fourth best form. Still, -175 at King Power is good value. Leicester won’t win this 190-0 like the last match, but they’ll come out with a gutty 2-1 win.
  • Everton beat Burnley away 1-0 last month. Now they’re -115 at home. Expect an inspired showing from the Toffees after being humiliated by Liverpool in the FA Cup. Everton put a couple past Burnley for the win.

Look for the Tottenham vs Liverpool preview later today.
