Premier League Matchday 38 Betting Tips: Leicester City vs Tottenham

Posted By Alex Blowers on May 21, 2021

I went big in Matchday 37 of the Premier League, and it paid off, turning me a profit of +6.097 Units. Leeds United beat Southampton 2-0 for my Money Line and Over 1.5 Goals Team Total bets to hit. Chelsea beat Leicester City 2-1  to strengthen their push for the Top 4 and cash my Money Line bet.

That leaves me at -4.145 Units. I’m confident my Liverpool to finish in the Top 4 bet from Matchday 36 will hit for 2.1 Units of profit, meaning I’m sitting at -2.045 Units. This weekend is the final Matchday, and I’m going big again to try and finish the season in profit. Thank you to everyone who has read my posts this season and been brave enough to take my advice.

Leicester’s Champions League future is out of their hands after losing to Chelsea midweek. They have to beat Tottenham to keep their hopes alive who need a win themselves to guarantee qualification for the Europa Conference League and possibly the Europa League depending on how West Ham gets on.

There’s a good chance The Foxes will be Harry Kane’s last opponents as a Tottenham player. Their captain clapped the fans on Wednesday evening after their 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa in what looked to be an emotional goodbye. My monies on the Glazer’s buying him as a peace offering to Manchester United’s fans who are outraged by their part in the Super League.

I’ve been really unimpressed with Ryan Mason and his choice to leave Tanguy Ndombélé on the bench. The Frenchman has been one of Tottenham’s best players this season and technically is the best central midfield player on their books. Even with him out of the side, I have a feeling they will get the win here to end Leicester’s Champions League hopes.

Brendan Rodgers’s side spent a lot of physical and emotional energy in their two matches with Chelsea this last week. This game will be a step too far, and they will finish the season on a loss.

Back Tottenham to win and Harry Kane to sign off with a brace.

Prediction – 2 Units: Tottenham Money Line +240 | 1 Unit: Harry Kane To Score At Least 2 Goals +850

Surprise surprise Sam Allardyce is stepping down at West Brom. The news was announced after Wednesday’s 3-1 defeat to West Ham, and Allardyce used the opportunity to tout himself to Sky Sports for some work……….EMBARRASSING AND PURE CRINGE TV!!!

Leeds have come through for me in the last two Matchdays, so I’m sticking with them. They have guaranteed themselves a top-half finish. They could finish as high as 8th if they beat West Brom, and results go their way. Marcelo Bielsa will push his players for one last time to get the 3 points and finish the season on a high at Elland Road.

Back Leeds to score early and win comfortably.

Prediction – 2 Units: Leeds United -1.5 Goals +110 | 2 Units: Leeds United Halftime / Fulltime -103

Chelsea have taken control of the Top 4 race and need 3 points this weekend to guarantee Champions League football. They could finish fifth and qualify by winning this year’s competition next weekend when they play Manchester City. Thomas Tuchel won’t want to take that chance, and he will instruct his players to go for the win.

Manchester City welcomes Everton to The Etihad for their final game of the season. Summer signing Rúben Dias has been named the 2020/21 Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year for his role in transforming City’s backline to the best in the Premier League. I think Pep Guardiola will go with a strong side that will be too much for an Everton side who have been erratic all season.

Chelsea and Manchester City will start preparations for next week’s Champions League final by winning on Sunday.

Prediction – 3 Units: Chelsea and Manchester City Money Line Parlay +112
